Feeding of white sugar(sucrose) to bee colonies is a valuable management tool for bee keepers.

To feed : 2 part sugar to 1 part water.

White sugar (sucrose) is the preferred sugar to feed to bees as it better for their gut function.

By feeding sugar water it is possible to artificially stimulate a colony to breed its population in anticipation of a major nectar flow in the future.

To stimulate : 1 part sugar 1 part water.

Only feed when the natural nectar flow is scarce to keep your bees from starvation. If there is a natural nectar flow don’t feed.
